OPA is an independent statutory body established by the Victorian State Government. OPA works to protect and promote the interests, rights and dignity of people with a disability.
Commonwealth Department of Social Services (DSS)
DSS fund the National Disability Advocacy Program, which provides people with disability access to effective disability advocacy that promotes, protects & ensures their full & equal enjoyment of all human rights enabling community participation.
Complaints Resolution & Referral Service
The CRRS is an independent service that helps you sort out complaints about your service funded under the Commonwealth Disability Services Act, including:
- Disability Employment services (DES) including CRS Australia
- Australian Disability Enterprises
- Advocacy services.
The CRRS is funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services & is part of Jobs Access.

National Disability Abuse & Neglect Hotline
The National Disability Abuse and Neglect Hotline is an Australia-wide telephone hotline for reporting abuse and neglect of people with disability. The Hotline works with callers to find appropriate ways of dealing with these reports. The Hotline is funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services & is part of Jobs Access.
